A component of the University's Summer Enrichment Program (SEP), the John Henry Taylor Scholars (JHTS) program gives selected individuals--interested in pursuing a degree in the fields of science, math, technology or related areas--an opportunity to begin their studies during the summer immediately preceding their freshman year.

JHTS participants are provided the opportunity to become familiar with programs and with personnel who will be able to assist them throughout their undergraduate curriculum, and to offer guidance with preparation for graduate school.

When upperclassmen, John Henry Taylor Scholars are encouraged to take on leadership roles with the Office of Academic Enrichment as tutors, mentors, etc.
